The Pacific Community of Alaska (PCA) also participates in activities that aim to influence public life, decisions, and policies which can range from voting in elections to joining advocacy groups, attending town hall meetings, or facilitating community conversations. Our goal is to strengthen democracy and community well-being, ensuring that people have a voice in the decisions that affect their lives.

Voting

The most fundamental form of civic engagement. Voting allows individuals to have a direct say in who represents them and how public policies are shaped.

Civic Education

Engaging with educational programs or initiatives that increase awareness of government structures, rights, and responsibilities is a key part of civic engagement.

Community Engagements

Attending town halls or city council meetings helps people stay informed and have a direct impact on local policies.
